@joppe84 I agree with you that we should trying to buy players who can also stay with us in the top flight. And the likes of Jedi are perfect.

It's all well and good getting players who specialise in whatever kind of style is required in this bullshit league but to have to sell 2/3rds of your squad within 12 months and start a rebuilding process is fraught with danger and financially demoralising.

Having said that, it looks like Xia's men are happy to pay the going rate for players but also expect the same for the ones we are offloading. It already seems we are million miles away from where we were under that douchebag Fox.

He gave us all sorts of problems when we somehow contrived to lose to Bradford in the Carling cup Semi-final a few years back. Since then he's gone on to Huddersfield and has been a revelation. Scored 14 goals in his first season and last season got 18 goals. Got loads of pace and a very good finisher indeed. If he comes in we'd have three proven Championship goalscorers on our books . Think RDM is conscience about Ayew and Gestede leaving for the African Nations cup so that's why he's after another striker.

As for getting a profit on Sinclair. Well that's what happens when you have a top class CEO like Wyness. That made an artform of making huge profits at Everton and it looks like he's still got it.

Looks like it's minimum £ 8.5 million. I see reports that the Sinclair deal is at 3,5, 4,0 and 4,5 million. So guess it could be even better than what we thought. Clark was £ 5.1 million wasn't he?

£5.1 million for Clark! If he played for someone else and we bought him for that kind of money we MIGHT think it's reasonable. On the steep side, but still maybe just reasonable. But we'd probably not know that he'll have one really cracking game then be a bollock-dropper for the next 5.

We really have gotten the better of this deal. I suspect West Brom aren't paying him an awful lot so figured they could outlay a little more.

And Sinclair is a decent player. That's all...decent. He just seemed to be caught in our web of shit last season. But anything above getting him off the books free of charge is a brilliant deal.

The words "naive" and "stupid" come to mind . Even if we stopped spending now I'd still be very confident we would at the very minimum by in the promotion places come the end of the season. Ayew, Gestede and Mccormack are the best trio of strikers in the division...FULL STOP. Once you have that you're always gonna be in the running.

Well he's either trolling or he's really off ain't he? Clearly not in RDM's plans so I think he'll either go to a Prem club like Palace, Baggies, Sunderland etc on a free or minimal fee or he might go to a Norwich or Fulham type in our league.

Either way If he does go it's been a very long road for the lad and he's made full use of the limited talent he had. His partnership with Carew at one stage was class and he scored so many memorable goals. Many against the top sides like the winners at Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea etc!!..also who could forget the derby winners? Good luck to him if these reports are true and Imo this move really does tell us that a new dawn has begun finally.
