"Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
The title speaks for itself. This HAS to happen at every home game from this point on. Back Remi and the team but give the board absolute hell and embarrassment.

Re: "Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
I've said it for a while now that it needs to happen, only the biggest opportunist will really think we have a chance of staying up when in reality if you looks at our results not just from this season but also the previous few campaigns there is no chance on earth we can hit title winning form and pull ourselves out of this mess, think back a few seasons and under McLeish we face Bolton at home in a midweek game and the abuse was loud and vile, that's what we need every single home game against this board or even better empty seats to hit Lerner where it hurts.

It needs to be the Board Must Go so that those of them that are at the game know the finger is pointing at them.

Your better venting the anger/fustration at Hollis and Fox. Especially Hollis as he isn't a 'Football man' and only been brought in as a puppet for Lerner.

Re: "Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
I don't know if this is possible, and would certainly be extremely difficult to organise. However, if somehow we could swap the huge flag that the lower Holte have when the players come out for an equally huge white one, then that should make a few headlines.
I'm in the upper Holte so I can't practically do anything to put the plan into action. Perhaps anyone who has contact with the MOMS lot may be able to pass on the idea and we could form a plan?

I was wondering if it was possible to replace the corner flags with white ones! I suspect it would get noticed.

I know - why not just not go.
Pitifully low gates will be the most effective way of protesting.

Re: "Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
The footballs dire, the owners absent and most likely were going down. I believe Fox would of sanctioned at least 5 transfers this window had Hollis not been on board but they say every cloud has a silver lining and hopefully Hollis will do what he's been bought in to do.
In the mean time we've paid our money and as there's no chance of a refund so let's celebrate in the stands. We pay good money and time out from our families to go and watch and the last few years have felt like a prison sentence. Sod it all I say, Sing songs, fancy dress and even mock the board with whip round buckets but please let's all enjoy our last games in this division. If the club can't entertain us then let us entertain ourselves.

Re: "Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
The way froward is when we drop into the championship. A fan base buy out, the price would be reduced, then we can have a good clear out of the board who have no idea of how to run a football club, because if we just let things move along like we have been doing for the last few years, we will drop into the first division.
Riley and Almstat should have taken the blame for the overpriced players we bought in the summer.
I am surprised Hollis has not got rid of the scouting team with Riley,
because we do not use them.

Fan based buy out won't work as you have to have a willing seller, which is something this club clearly no longer has. Only way to have an effect on Lerner is financially through Merchandise and tickets.

Re: "Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
Everyone should just stay away. Ignore white flag protests and what not. Makes no difference. Only way to get this moron to sell cheaper than he wants ( i.e. getting rid of him) is to affect his wallet. And the only way for us to do that is to stay away.
Can you imagine the media if Villa park was completely empty for the remaining part of the season.
And if you really want to do something creative you should rather paint a big cock on his private jet.

Re: "Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
Agree that it is time to show our discontent/concern to the owner and executive.
Very much like the waving of the Kleenex Man-Size being both massively visual whilst restrained enough for the fans to retain the moral high ground.
No idea how this can be effectively organised across the fan base but pretty sure it would be affordable for all to take part and can happen time and time again.
Any ideas how to get everyone onto the same page?

Re: "Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
It is something that can be easily done. Most people will have a white handkerchief in their pockets. They cannot be thrown out of the ground for this. Even if they don't realise, when entering the ground, they already have the protest symbol on their person. Once the waving starts, people can just join in. It just needs a few people in all stands to start it off. I think it would be effective as the teams come out.

News everywhere about Lerner "death chants" by our fans at West Ham last night. Everyone needs to stand outside Villa Park every home match and protest until Randy leaves, not sit in the stands and do it. Save your money.

Re: "Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
I seem to be forgetting the last chance a football fans demonstration made any difference to anything. Maybe Rangers fans made a difference by boycotting games but that's about it. The people running Villa do not give a toss. Demonstrate away to your hearts content. Me personally i would be backing the team until that big R is next to our name. Then things should be demonstrated about. Just my opinion that's all.

Re: "Lerner Go Now" demonstrations
Bottom line is ever Lerner doesn't want to be the owner so we can protest all we like, he has made it clear he wants out too.
The issue is WHY doesn't anybody want to buy us? I don't think it's just the asking price, the whole fabric of the club is wrong.
