I'm not sure what he's so upset about. He's made it clear that playing football is secondary to his paycheck. He had the choice of staying at Villa with a guaranteed starting position, the captain's armband, being very obviously visible to the England selectors and keeping his word or more money at City at the cost of a starting position, the armband, being obvious to the selectors and breaking his word.

I don't want Westwood to get called up because that will mean he'll be off to another "bigger" team in 1-2 seasons, just like Barry, Milner, Young, Downing, and Delph before him. I always get depressed watching England because I'm reminded of the quality players we've used to have on our team.
