Wolves v Aston Villa.
Sorry guys, I've been out for a few hours and forgot to open up a match thread. Kozak scored a good goal and missed another couple of chances as well. Amavi looks the real deal.

It's weird how much we are looking for passes in space and movement. I'm not used to this.
Richards has already made a mess of his positioning twice though. Not a CB.

Not sure that's fair. Not sure he won't be found out by better strikers though.

Gueye looks solid IMO. Amavi looks amazing going forward, but a bit weak defensively (strength wise). Kozak looking very good. Sinclair is meh as usual.
Our weak area is the defence IMO.

Cheers joppe. Keep the updates coming.
Another thing worth looking for is Wilkins' style. Is he vocal/animated? Do he and Tony Parks bark the orders from the touchline or is that left to our esteemed leader? I guess come 8th august things will be of different nature and we'll have flying Gilet's, touchline sprints and pulse rate checks!

I think our left side could be something quite special with Amavi and Grealish. It sounds like both will compliment each other. Exciting!
Right side needs addressing - it's flat in comparison. Get Townsend in and with could really stretch the opposition with our pace and width.

Problem with the right side in one word .... Hutton! He keeps vacating his position in the belief that he's a flying winger. Richards is having to cover right side CB and RB. It's going to cause us nightmares.

agree re hutton, might look much better with crespo in, or Richards at rb and okore cb when fit

Crespo does one thing well .... defend. That's what we need with a classy attacking left wing back in Amavi.4BetLite wrote:agree re hutton, might look much better with crespo in, or Richards at rb and okore cb when fit

That's what I've been thinking with Richards. If you got one very attacking winger or wingback, it's often useful to balance the other side with a more defensive version. Prime example Beckham at times and Giggs opposite. Or Lee Dixon and Ashley Cole.

Clark\Richardson doesn't look a pairing IMO.
Gueye looking fantastic though.

Gotta love Clarke. Every tackle he makes he is coming into it like he's trying to kill Hitler

Good goal, nice ball from Robinson, typical Kozak finish.
