Re: The Owner and his CEO...
Lambert's job is to say "we go again" then he goes back into his office for the week trying to fathom the workings of his Newtons Cradle.Eastie wrote:Billy McBingo wrote:Farrell_10 wrote:It's no way to run a football club. It's absolutely crazy. The malaise stems from the guy at the top saying nothing. The only time we've heard from Randy since MON left is when he's had to appoint or sack a manager.
I agree to a point but wasn't the last time he opened his mouth when he explained the McLeish appointment with all that cringe worthy stuff about the letter from Ferguson? If we were hearing that kind of utterance on a regular basis we'd probably prefer him to keep schtum.Trotters wrote:Is that what Gary Karsa is supposed to do? Putting aside his family relationship with Lambert (meaning Karsa never going to be overly critical of him) and that he's part of Lambert's crew as opposed to being put in place but the club to protect its interests, it would appear that he's a bit of a nothing person.
I've heard he's a walking encyclopaedia of footballing knowledge but, Benteke aside, the players we've picked up are hardly what you'd expect of someone who is a human FIFA14 cheat code.
Have the players we've signed really been that bad considering what we've paid? I'd say one of the few areas where the Lambert regime hasn't performed too badly in is player scouting and recruitment so I'd say Karsa and the scouts are fulfilling their part of the job. Would the 'young and hungry' project be Karsa's brainchild?
Karsa and the scouts watch and recommend player
s, Culverhouse (seemingly badly) handles day-to-day coaching. What is it that Lambert does?
