There has been too much negativity surrounding our club recently, but the new fixtures seem to have been kind to us (December apart)
Hull (a)
Wigan (h)
Ipswich (a)
Brentford (h)
Reading (h)

We’ll have to wait and see what the squad looks like in August to be able to see what we might or might not be capable of!

Well given our parlous position I'm impressed that villa have broken through the 20k season ticket sales (it was 19k at the same stage last season).
This includes 2k new sth, whilst so far 89% of last year's sth's have renewed.

Some might say it's crazy with all what is going on at present but I have to say fair play to those fans backing the club in this way.

Under normal circumstances those opening fixtures would be seen as an opportunity to get off to a flying start, but alas we don't even know what our team will look like come the start of the season; to be fair even with the strongest of squads, you can't count on anything with Bruce, as even against the lesser fancied teams there's always the threat of disappointing results.
