Not bitter is he............
After saying how great the fit between Liverpool and Benteke was, and how good a move it was for him, the bitter scottish twat is at it again on Sky Sports:
LAMBERT ON VILLA CASH
Paul Lambert admits he is surprised at former club Aston Villa's change in transfer policy, which has seen them spend big money over the summer.
Asked if it irked him that his old club have now decided to spend cash, Lambert told Sky Sports News HQ: "It does a little bit. It makes me a laugh a little bit in the change in the policy but that's the way it is and good luck to Tim and Aston Villa in the future, whatever they want to do.
"Everybody has moved on and they have spent an awful lot of money."
Well us fans haven't moved on - we're still here, still scarred by your shit negative dull-as-ditchwater football - thank God we now have some optimism and a new regime to enjoy, unlike the desparate, tedious, insipid, colourless shit that you served up each week.
Looks like his maths is as good as his football tactics - we've only spent pretty much what we've sold, give or take 5 mil so far.
I like the "when asked" bit - what they mean is when he phoned them to give them a quote. Fuck off Lambert - you were shit and I don't see that anything you've got to say about Villa is worth giving any consideration to.
I wonder how gritted his teeth were when he added the "Good luck" bit to make him seem slightly less bitter than he actually is.
Jog on, I'm sure there's a job for you somewhere...........................

Very bitter. He had 3 years to build his own team, and eventually turned us into the most negative, boring, team in the country and set a lot of records you don't want associated with you. Sherwood might not be the finished article, but he's already shown that he is at least twice the manager Paul Lambert is.

*Cough* Small Heath Filth *Cough. I'd happily wish any kind of mishap or misbegotten loser on that stain on the football tapestry.

Whilst he [Lambert] clearly out lived his shelf life at villa - I do think people overlook what he had to contend with in his time here.
He had very little money, and needed new players in - on the whole when he spent £3m+ we generally got a decent player.
He kept us in the division - and the funds sherwood is spending today - has come in part from the players he signed.
Sure the football was never great - and that sideways passing he did at the end was one of the most stupid ideas Ive seen in 40 years of watching villa. - But he had a major rebuilding on his hands with very little money.

I honestly thought Lambert was very good in the transfer market, but he simply didn't know how to organize a team. Some of the worst football I've ever seen us play was with him in charge, cue all the amazing records he broke.
Complaining about what we've spent now is understandable, but it lacks credibility when nobody saw anything to suggest he could ever do anything positive with this club.
Secondly his complaint falls on it's own arse when we basically have 0 net spend. TS has actually had less to spend than Lambert.

For me the only successful Lamberk signing has been Benteke. The rest were mediocre and we actually made losses on them. Plus every summer he had a net spend of 20m which is more than TS has to date.
I just wish to gobshite would crawl back under his rock and stop mumbling in the press about how bad he had it. He was lucky to keep the job for the length of time he did. Sherwood showed him up by taking Lamberks players and getting them to play entertaining football within a week of his arrival.

He does sound like a spurned woman!
He signed Guzan (back), Benteke, Bacuna, Westy, Vlaar all of which did a job or are doing one, it was his application of the resources to hand which was terrible.

Absolutely. He bought well in most circumstances.
Kind of like a teenager buying his first car; he got himself some decent rims, a good stereo and a decent motor. But fucked everything up by driving down the road and hitting every tree, lamppost, dustbin, family pet and OAP he could find.
Total fucking disaster!
