Macron ditched?
Just seen it mentioned so went on to check - Aston Villa are no longer listed on their website and if you search their products for "Aston Villa" nothing comes up. Apparently we are still showing on the mobile version but not the full site.
Could this mean a change?

Re: Macron ditched?
Is their website just as shite as their products then? Because if you click on "football" on the mainscreen we don't come up, and if you search for us using the bottom of the page Real Betis comes up!!

Someone at work asked if we still had Macron as he said we weren't on their website.

I wasn't really speculating. Someone asked me something, I looked and couldn't see us there so brought it up here. Just turns out the Macron website is as badly made as their shirts.

Whats the big hate for Macron - IMO they are better quality kits than the crap Nike gave us - not so sure about some of the designs !!!

Read on twitter last night (by someone who's been right before and suggested it came from TF himself) that we have signed two new deals, both sponsorship and shirt deals and significantly larger than previous deals (one would assume Macron have been paid off or had some sort of termination deal with regards to sales, quality etc)
So to clarify, word is BOTH kit and sponsor will be announced soon.

Yes I read this from VT.
TF was saying hows spurs shirt deals generate £20m and Villa's are no where near that - we have to get closer. I had also heard (separately and very tentatively) that we were in negotiations with a mobile phone company for shirt sponsor - but that was a few weeks back.

Re: Macron ditched?
I heard that Villa might be wearing the new kit at Wembley. Came from a finance source that heard a Wisper. How true? Your guess is as good as mine

Cheers chaps
As far as kits go, it would be very unlike villa to be so early with our kit and have it on show at Wembley, however a great idea if it's signed. I've heard and its a 'rumour' at this stage, that we have Umbro, now this I would be very happy with if true. As for a sponsor then I just hope we get away from betting firms. I could live with EE on the front. They seem to be spending masses on advertising (Wembley included) so a mobile firm would probsbly be them.
The tech geek in me has always wanted something cool like Apple, Xbox or Atari. We'll probably get some hedgefund firm or Chinese airline (more likely)
What would others want from a shirt supplier and sponsor? May as well speculate/discuss....

Unless we are paying out to terminate the contracts, I believe Villa have another season of Macron and Dafabet.
*apologies Dafabet finishes this season should have a new sponsor then.

The speculation/info I've heard States weve negotiated an early release and signed with someone else. Could all be wide of the mark thought. I fully expect to see the naming rights for a stand (if not whole ground) announced over the summer too, this may alter depending on owner/s but it's coming

Re: Macron ditched?
EE are being bought out by BT so they can re-enter the lucrative mobile market and a massive rebrand is soon to start on EE becoming BT. If there is marketing budgets to be spent it could be that they see AVFC as an opportunity to increase their awareness and brand.
Might be something in it.

Good point SLV forgot about BT's purchase. BT connected (or whatever they call themselves) on the shirts and a BT stand or Villa Park - together we're connected.....I'll go and watch a movie
