Here's somebody who shouldn't be happy about today's news if he has the wit to comprehend what it means for him.

Yes, mate. People talk about the 13 games we have as a club to stay in the league. This geezer has no more than that to still be playing in a C&B strip next year in my view. Unless he goes to WH or Burnley.
He won't be a protected player under Sherwood. He won't give a fuck about this "one of us", "Mr Aston Villa" shite that has let him steal a living. He will get very few chances to prove his worth before he gets bombed out. If it is true that Sherwood has been watching us for a while he'll already have a good idea of who can cut it, those who are on thin ice and those for the boot.
I'd see him having Gabby in one of the two latter camps.

Re: Gabby Agbonglahor
It's all down to the players now, to show tim what they are made of, no more favourites and pets.
Lets see how they perform on Sunday, and show tim what they can do.
If I was tim I would have had a word in marshals ear, and tell him to drop this Lamberts picked players, we have seen enough of that, do not want to be depressed on Sunday.

To be honest, Gabby is one of the players holding us back. There is explanation for his new deal this season at all. He didn't deserve one from his performances on the pitch, yet here he is on a monster contract for the next 4 seasons. If he wasn't a "Villa man" he'd have a career similar to Craig Gardner's, bouncing around from one relegation contender to another or in the Championship.

Spot on!! The Mr Aston Villa tag really annoys me, he's often one of the first off the pitch after a game, hardly anytime spent thanking fans. Im not a fan at all

Wasn't he an Arsenal fan as a kid? Regardless he is shit, his pace used to be effective but not now. He's slow, stupid, and can't finish. The fact that one of the stupidest players I have ever seen ( not just for the Vill, anywhere) is captain of the club I support really irks me. The fuckhead can't tie his own shoes let alone lead the team.

He will be out on loan at the end of the season i think. Nobody is going to pay enough cash to pay up his contract.

I foresee him going to somewhere like Fulham. His physical attributes alone mean he should tear up the Championship, but his attitude means he'll do sod all
