Takeover, debt and other tales
Read up on the German 50+1 model, interesting things afoot. How would fand feels about this model? Any takeover would inevitably involve loading the club with huge debt, the asking price tells you that. This means that investment in playing staff would be squeezed.
50+1 would mean that a consortium (E.G a fans consortium) would always be in control as business would not be allowed a controlling interest. The model almost guarantees lower ticket prices for fans - German ticket prices are the lowest in Europe.
Just speculation thoug!

I am a huge fan of the way German football is run and the respect they show their fans. It is the way forward in my opinion.Finn07 wrote:Read up on the German 50+1 model, interesting things afoot. So how many fans and how much would it cost/need to get this ball rolling for a 50% stake i believe or 51%?

Here's a little background to the 50+1 rule. Good read http://bundesligafanatic.com/the-impact-of-company-run-clubs-in-german-football/

Cheer's Ego mate for that insight, fascinating how the Bundesliga teams seem to fill at least three third's of their capacities of stadiums, this way seems to work.

To many outside interests living off the back of the Premier League and quite a few in it aswell. No way will they give up any share of the pie.
