I've never ever seen a team give the ball away as much as we do, it's embarrassing that they can't pass to each other, all this possession and we really don't look like scoring, going down my lord.

Karma would be if a bird came and shat on this refs face while we win this 2-1

Kinda absurd that Huth is allowed to use violence while defending

Re: Aston Villa v Leicester City 16th Jan 2016 17:30
We played our hearts out the 2nd half and the ref did everything he could to not let us win. We were denied a stonewall penalty and 2 other good shouts. The team hasn't given up yet and we played well, but we lack a goalscorer to finish some chances.
Gana was fantastic in the 2nd half. Didn't put in a wrong foot and won absolutely everything he challenged for.

Just read the BBC report from the game:
"Villa fought their way back into the game..."
I'm just going to gaze at those words for an hour or so.

We tried to make a fist of it today, but continually make it so hard for ourselves by giving the ball away, and as for ball watching it doesn't happen as much in parks footy. For crying out loud Lerner buy us a striker and give us a chance.

I thought we played well against a team on a proper roll, usually scoring at will and with confidence high. As if you could forget, we've had a torrid time of it and confidence until the Palace match was rock bottom. Bunn made some good saves, including that dubious penalty, and the team as a whole did a very good job. The pace isn't something we're used to, but we had players closing down theirs all the time.
I think next time let's play Veretout and Gueye in the middle, Sinclair on the left, Ayew on the right and Gestede and Kozak in the middle and give them hell.
I'd also like to see Richards at RB. As much as Bacuna tries, he always without fail crosses the ball to the one static defender. Unless, that is, Richards does have a clause saying he has to play CB, in which case he doesn't have a chance in hell (IMHO) of replacing Okore.
It's starting to look like there's some fight there.
And yes, we need a good striker with goals in him if we're going to survive this.

2 games in a row they've shown proper fight. I don't like blaming refs for results even when they've been awful but how we didn't get a penalty I will never know. Horrendous.
We've a few games coming up where a signing or 2 couldat give us 3 wins on the bounce and suddenly the escape would look on.

Beat Wycombe.
At the very least from there on in we need to match the points of the teams around us. If we lose any more ground then it's all over. Until then, that glimmer is still there

It's strange how that penalty wasn't given on Kozak. Just remarkable how the assistant didn't pick up on a blatant violent act. I've seen red cards for similar.

As for Mr Moyes's comments on MOTD - glad he's not our manager!

Oh well we can have some positivity I think. We've picked up four points in two matches now. We need to gain three wins, two wins three draw, i.e. 9 points. I believe! Make me believe! Still 48 points to fight for.

The way the team has played these last two matches, and with yesterday's match against a good team in top form, I believe we can do it too. Lerner needs to pay for a good striker though, even if only on loan. For a start we need goals ASAP but if Kozak, Gestede or Ayew gets injured we're going to be in trouble.

What Huth did twice was not acceptable, so why is Moyes saying that it is? Ridiculous thing to say, what a cockwomble.
In the end two wrongs (two handballs leading to goals) made a right, but we should have had a penalty and been playing 10 men.
Edit - to make that a little clearer, Cissokho's handball shouldn't have been a penalty, but then you could argue Gestede's handball shouldn't have led to a goal. So our goal balanced out their's.
