Will Garde work some magic or not ?
Re: Aston Villa v Man City Sunday 8th November 2015 1.30pm KO
The only real criticism I could find was that, when presented with the opportunity to whip the ball into the box, we didn't. Instead choosing to pass it around and back and around and back.....
Obviously there was instruction and maybe the manager figured that it'd be a bloodbath so he wanted to see who could follow instruction.
But that's being harsh. From what we've seen of the team during Sherwood's reign, this was a stunning improvement. And I think everyone except Sherwood and his dickhead media mates knew we had that in us.

I noticed the same - but I also thought this could be to do with who we had in the box

I think Sinclair is poor fwiw. While he has improved the last two matches, but keeps losing the ball while running head down into defenders. I'd like us to sign a new striker in January and move Ayew into the position as a wide forward.

There were many positives yesterday, the most important being the precious point that we got against the league leaders.
This will help the new manager to 'sell' his views to the squad, and show them that if we can get a point against City, we should be capable of getting points every time we step on the pitch. Now obviously that's not going to happen, but we should not be defeated before a ball is kicked.
The tactics to make us difficult to play through, was night and day removed from the dross under Sherwood and KMac. One has gone, and I'd be wondering what future KMac has here if our young players are being led by such a 'Dinasaur' who prefers Gabby, Richardson and the likes to Gil and Amavi.
In less than a week, Garde has come in and shown that all we needed was the bit of organisation that we have been saying as fans all season. It's almost unforgivable that almost a whole promising new squad has been let down so badly by coaching so that we are now in a very difficult place where I think we should never have been. Hopefully we can pull our way out of this.

If I could pick that side that Remi picked last week just by seeing the players on the pitch, how come Tim and Kmac couldn't see it, they are the so-called professionals and actually see them in training!
Most of the fans could have picked a better side than either of Tim and Kmac, they are absolutely hopeless!
Quite honestly Kmac should have followed Tim out of the door, unfortunately I can't see that happening until the close season when perhaps Remi gets his preferred coaches.
Anyway a brilliant start, but it is just the beginning, lets hope it continues!

I'm still laughing at Hart's face when Gestede threw the ball at him and pretended to sprint after it for a pace or two. Hart is a thick clueless twat who happens to be a great keeper, but I can't stand him.
Loved the way he chewed on his gum really hard when he was waiting for the corner so we could all see he was a-really-cool-guy-who-was-not-bothered-at-all.....
Fucking hilarious.

I now think Gabby is coming into his wilderness years, great team selection, and who would have thunk that Charlie Nzogbia would have been in the squad. It was a pleasure to watch on Sunday. UTV

Gestede clearly told him to get back in his box. Arrogant sugarbag refused. Gestede again waved at him to get in his box. Again, he refused, demanding the ball outside the area.
Well fuck you, mister.
Absolute hilarity.

For me Ayew is a wide forward, and i think he's better than Sinclair in that position and so it would make absolute sense to purchase a Striker in January and move Ayew into that side of the pitch. We've known we needed a striker since Benteke left, it was pretty negligent not getting one in.

That had to be some of the most retarded "grades" ever! It makes me think Thompson is on some day release programme and should be picking up disability benefits. What a sugarbag!
Arsenal B? Chelsea? Liverpool lost at home but get a higher grade than the Villa?! Thank fuck I no longer pay a penny to Sky. Twats
