Villa v Leicester 13th September 2015 : match thread
Time for someone to put Leics in their place, hoping for a positive attacking lineup and 3points in the bag.

I think that ...
Guzan
Ilori Richards lescott
Bacuna amavi
Gana
Adama gil grealish
Sinclair
Could work but will Sherwood change the system or convert one of our two centre backs to a right back? Or have a 4 into 2 fight for center halo leaving Hutton or Bacuna on the right. The front 4 surely pick themselves for this one though and gana in behind looks certainty too.

lol... Ilori is a CB. Why would you play a RB at CB (Richards) and a CB at RB (Ilori)?
My Lineup:
Guzan
Bacuna Richards Lescott Amavi
Westwood Gana
Adama Grealish Sinclair
Ayew
What Sherwood will probably pick:
Guzan
Bacuna Richards Lescott Amavi
Westwood Gana
Adama Grealish Sinclair
Gestede
3-2 to the Villa...

I'm gutted that I can't go this season (off to Magaluf for a free weekend away with work). Think it'll be tough but I reckon we could get a point

Enjoy the Sun Dan, were getting a little better with every game, they getting used to each other mate and Leics bubble has to burst soon, with Guzan in goal they will score but I see us edging it 2-1

Would it work with Traore on right, Sinclair in the middle and Grealish on the right, with a striker in front of Sinclair, or does Sinclair work best when he's running in from the wing?

I will - haven't managed to get away all summer so I'm going to relish the 3 days!
I pegged Leicester to struggle this season and they've been a huge early surprise. They've got form and confidence so I'll take a draw

I think we might snag it. With any luck Vardy will be tired but we still need to watch out for Mahraz.

Having just looked over a half dozen pages on a Leicester forum, they're firmly of the opinion that they'll batter us. But most don't seem at all aware of our new signings and the sheer pace we have.
Most of the fans also wanted to see a 3-5-2 attacking formation. Tell you what, play that and Traore will rip them open again and again.
Anyway, some screen grabs for you...

Probable team
Guzan
Bacuna Richards Lescott Amavi
Westwood Gana Sanchez
Grealish Sinclair
Gestede
Think this one will be a defeat.

Starting 11 for Leicester; 4-3-2-1. Guzan, Bacuna, Amavi, Richards, Lescott, Sanchez, Westwood, Gueye, Grealish, Traore, Sinclair. Waiting in the wings are Clark, Ayew, Vertout, Gil, Llori, Agbonlahor, Bunn.
Having read that Gueye could be out I'd change it to 4-2-3-1, with Vertout in for Gueye.

I would have thought Sanchez is the more logical replacement for Gueye ?

Whatever the lineup I'd like to see Sherwood use subs intelligently.
Whoever plays on the right is going to have to give Amavi some help with Albrighton, I reckon he's going to be on fire.

My concern is that Sherwood will freeze up again and not make the right move at the right time against a far more experienced tactician.
There'll be goals in this game.
4-3 to us.

Let's hope we can poop Leicester's party! That ought to stick it to Gary Lineker on MOTD
Gotta remember to take Mahrez out of my fantasy team for this one!

Traore, Grealish and Gana all doubts for the match - Gana the most serious, according to Tim at the Presser this morning.
Anybody else frustrated at the fact that we can't seem to get started properly with the strongest team - I am.
I feel like we need a run of games with the right players available, playing together so we can build momentum.
I'm still genuinely excited by the players we've bought, but bloody hell I wish I could see the potentially best team actually out there, all together - too stop/start for me this season - it's been a strange beginning so far.
