I don't think Bruce helps the situation here, saying that 'you need players that can cope with the expectations', he heaps pressure onto the players instead of trying to take the pressure off them and let them play their natural game.

McGinn and El Ghazi both felt they had opportunities to 'justify' their purchase, instead of playing for the team, it is no point before the game in a huddle if once the game starts it is every one for themselves!

Bruce keeps on going on about the schedule but it is the same for all the clubs in our division, except that we have a massive squad so it shouldn't bother us so much, just more and more excuses!

I would have a massive sign made saying: 'It is a team game so play like a f**king team!'!

The players have been doing it for years, they're expected to play as a team, expected to try to score and not to concede and expected to put in all their effort in the process.

I wonder if the expectations he's talking about are the ones on him to take this incredibly expensive squad of some of the best players in this and the next up leagues and do the kind of job Colin Wanker did last season with a far less expensive and talented squad. He's failed two seasons in a row, if it's still the players' fault now we're failing to live up to expectations then perhaps someone else needs to hold up their hand and accept responsibility.

In fact can we make it a condition for the next manager that he never ever blames his players?

Extended highlights for anyone who hasn't seen them yet.

Jesus pissing Christ.

Disgraceful decision, yes Chester was slow to react and should have got his body between the player and the ball because he was in front of the player, but he went to ground and played the ball, the ref indicated that he thought that he was caught in a scissor tackle but jeez that is always going to happen because of human anatomy, the key is he played the ball and then the player went down over his legs, the refereeing in this division is diabolical

Chester should never have let the referee have to make a decision, pretty simple really!

Agree the refereeing is pretty shit in this division but we know that, nothing has changed this season to last season.

Agree with the Chester comments, he just panicked, we should have been two up at half time, with players rushing at shooting at goal, were they should have passed it to a player better placed, Bruce is walking a tight rope, the drawing of games is not going well with the owners, plus the new loan players are not the run of the mill players Bruce normally picks. Still picking his favourite players. Let's see what team he picks for Tuesday. UTV.
