The positivity thread
Right, we'll I've decided that there's far too much doom and gloom around and I've been as guilty as anyone of contributing to the negativity.
Now this may end up being the most sparsely populated thread in TBAR history, but I don't care; I'm in need of some positivity.
I'm going to be strict in modding this thread, so if anyone posts negative stuff, I'll simply delete it. My decision will be autocratic, idiosyncratic and final.
So, in our last game we beat a reasonably well fancied Barnsley 3-0 at their place. They were a side who had scored 3 goals twice in their previous 2 home games, so belting 3 past them and conceding none was a great result.
We learnt that 442 is great, that being on the front foot home or away works, that Davis is a great kid that works his taters off, Adomah on the left worked well (he got onto the Championship "Team of the week" on the back of his performance) and that Terry regained some of the class and leadership that we got him here for, and he certainly cares about his role in the team.
We have Forest next, they just conceded 5 goals last night and have had 1 day less than us to recover. If we stick to our formation and attitude, I see no reason why we can't score another 3, especially with the likelihood Kodjia will start.
I have a good feeling about this game, let's hope it continues to build the momentum we are all desperate for.

I can only think of one, and that's how every single youth coming through our academy looks good enough for our first team. I'm yet to see one were I'm thinking he doesn't add something to the squad.

I think Xia is switched on and motivated and will have a Plan B & C.
Everything will be right with the football world soon enough.

Grealish is back in training, Adomah is smiling again and Johnstone is looking great. Hopefully we have a purchase clause! On the other hand I've always liked Steer. Hourihane is the midfielder we've been waiting for and Bruce didn't know we had, and at least when Bruce sees a player doing well (like Hourihane and Davis) he plays them.
I'm being a bit diplomatic as well as positive here but we do have some very good players and at least it seems if you want to work hard for a place the chance is there, something we haven't necessarily seen in the past.

I still have faith in Dr T. I think his current twitter silence regarding the performances is a good thing. The lack of drum banging suggests he appreciates how volatile the fans are at the moment which would surely mean he's at least thought about a plan b.
Also, the away kit isn't as "invisible" as I feared it would be.

We have a brilliant squad. Really do.
1 or 2 players aside we have a team capable of smashing the back doors off this league.

Re: The positivity thread
I honestly think playing 442 could be the making of this team. For years now we've kept faith with the in vogue 4231/433 systems which resulted in a disastrous spell for the club. The problem we've had is for those systems to work you simply MUST have midfielders scoring goals or creating them. And sadly, we've had neither for several seasons. But with 442 it places less pressure on the midfielders whilst giving the lone forward someone to feed off. I dunno why, but I just have a strong feeling that we're heading into a marvelous period with this system and the players we've got at our disposal.

Re: The positivity thread
Kodjia is back and he hasn't scored yet so I reckon that he is about to go on a scoring spree.
We have found the holy grail of 4-4-2, with Davis the star so the opposition had better watch out because here we come!
Bruce will be saying I told you so!

2 point behind last playoff spot i think. Feels like were starting to look at who we can catch up with now rather than looking over our shoulder.

Some might see that has a negative, it certainly would have looked that way at the beginning of the season, a sacking offence for Bruce even, although relative to our bad start things could have been a lot worse points from the top wise. Leeds and Cardiff play each other in the week, whilst we play Burton, so a chance to close the gap further, going into a home match against Bolton, next seven days could make or break our season.

There you go Delboy I've edited your post. I said I'd be modding this thread harshly. Have a point for your opening para and a yellow card for mentioning Bruce.

I will add that we won on Saturday whilst actually playing poorly! That is always a good sign in my experience! A good team knows how to play badly & win!
