Re: Aston Villa v Wigan
De Leat has been out for 9 months and needed game time. If anything he showed that he is more than capable of displacing Hutton. Bree too, though it was Bree at centre half that was the more interesting move for part of the match.
No one has mentioned Mitch Clarke. Looked like another good prospect to me. He looked composed and made some good interceptions/ tackles. Has a good frame for a defender and I suspect may become a centre half in his later career. He also went forward which was good to see as Taylor gets a noce bleed and loses all sense once past the half way line.

Hutton won't be playing tomorrow, he's injured according to Bruce.

Is it wrong that I hope the injury, whilst not serious and career ending, is niggling and takes a long time to clear up?

Good news Hutton is out. Not so good Jedi still out and Davis will have a late fitness test due to a niggling hamstring
Still, Hogan and Conor must be riding high confidence wise and with Green and Adomah both putting in good performances recently we might actually start to be turning things around.
Of course, we're talking about the Bristol match in the Wigan thread cos @dazzle hasn't got his finger out and started the thread
