Villa v SHA - match thead
Kodjia has had his ban reduced to just the one game but, sadly, it's this one. He'd have torn these wankers apart.
Gabby will no doubt be banging Bruce'sdaughter door down with his youtube highlight video vs blues at the ready. But I can see Hogan scoring us early, Baker wiping out two of their defenders to nod in from a corner and then Audrey to come on with 10 to go and smash in the 3rd.
They won't score. No chance. Old Twitchy McTwitchface might know a thing or two about football and might hate us, but they are a shit side who have a losing mentality so it'll be utter destruction. Bruce to buy himself an enormous amount of credit and Xia to go on a complete Twitter bender post-game.
For those playing GTC, the thread is up but please note that the last two games are "blind rounds" with all guesses to go to @De Kuip via PM.

1-1
Hogan's last goal for Brentford was against Blues so I'll back him to score. They'll nick an equaliser though and it'll stay like that

Apparently Bruce has said that he'd bringing Agbonlahor back for this one.

I did think a score draw 1-1 as this game means more to small Heath than us, but now following the sad news about Ugo I think it will be that emotionally charged that we will destroy them.

If Green's not fit then why not stick him on the left wing? In recent seasons he was more effective there than as a striker, and he'll be better than Grealish (despite that excellent goal on Monday).

Re: Villa v SHA - match thead
I see a very tough game. They will be filled with hate and HR will have them really fired up as he hates us too. In fact i'd go so far as to say the main reason he took the position was a last chance for him to stick 2 fingers up at us.
Isn't it odd how the FA rescind Kodija's ban...APART FROM FOR THIS GAME!! (Brown paper bag maybe?)

We'll destroy them 3-0. They'll be lucky to get nil.
Shove the result right up bagpuss''s arse and send em back to scummerville with their tails between their legs, the fucking horrible snot noses. Can't believe how much they are giving it the big one about all coming to VP without tickets and thinking they'll surge the gates. Just about demonstrates what a pigshit thick bunch of classless fucktards they are.

Re: Villa v SHA - match thead
If they win they're more or less safe, we can't let that happen. Can't say I'm feeling that confident, with Kodjia out and they'll probably have a bit of new manager bounce as well, added to the fact that they're fighting for their lives.
Hopefully our players can perform better than they usually do in front of goal.

Re: Villa v SHA - match thead
Personally, I don't give a sh/t about this game tbh. Seen a lot of people talking about how "nervous" they are about it...WTF? The days of getting a massive buzz after beating that lot are long gone for me. During the Dol and Mon days we beat them several times, many of which were as painful for them as it could get (The two late Gabby winners, the 5-1, the Cahill goal one etc) so what's gonna be new about winning tomorrow? If we were still in the play-off mix then fair enough, I'd be well up for it. But the season has finished on a whimper so for me whether we win or lose it really doesn't matter.
Winning tomorrow means absolutely nothing at the end of the day. Yes, losing to them pigs isn't nice. But in all honesty I would have taken two defeats against them if it meant we'd finish in the top six.
Anyway, I think it will be a cagey affair, probably end in a draw or a tight win for our boys. Whatever happens, though, this year has been one big failure and addressing what went wrong is way more important to me than these three points.

Re: Villa v SHA - match thead
I'm less bothered about this fixture than I normally would be from a Villa point of view, but I don't want them winning and being able to say that they survived relegation thanks to beating us.
I'd really like to see Hepburn-Murphy get some game time today, it's time to start bringing him through, rather than turning to Agbonlahor just because in the past he's scored a few derby goals.

I don't think Bruce is brave enough to do that. He'll most likely start with Hogan upfront alone with Grealish/Adomah supporting him. Then he'll throw Gabby on after the 70 minute mark or something.

I'm buzzing/nervous as ever for this game! On my way to the pub for a few before heading to VP as we speak.
This game never means nothing. Take away the fact we could put them on the cusp of relegation, I work with 1 of the 12 season ticket holders at Shed Andrews and the fucking spunk-drip will be unbearable if they win!!

Well as it's St George's Day today, I'll paraphrase part of that amazing call to arms from Shakespeare''s Henry iv:
The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'McGrath for Ugo, Villa, and Saint George!'

Johnstone, Hutton, chester, baker, Taylor, jedinak, Lansbury, bacuna, adomah, Grealish, hogan
Can't understand Bacuna getting in the team over Hourihane. Agbonlahor on the bench but no Hepburn-Murphy.

Sounds like we're playing quite negatively yet again, and Hogan is isolated. We're playing a team who've only won twice in the last twenty game.
