And prat of the day goes to......

Chrsmo‏

would be a horrible signing. Fat, lazy, clumsy and limited talent. No games since 2016. Rather keep Richards.. #avfc

Some of our fans are just straight idiots tbh. Keeps banging on about "not playing since 2016"..er well that's because the league in Norway ended at that time. He then had a break, played for Norway and then joined Brighton in March. So he was training with them and part of their first team squads as they went for promotion. No-one is suggesting the man is the next Laursen!!!..he'd be a squad player and have a chance to stake his claim over the season, simple as that.

Wonder if that will affect our dealings.

Thats his 3 weeks on a sun lounger sorted out to charge his batteries for July 1st

I don't know if 'TrentVilla' from VillaTalk, is still 'ITK' these days but he's said...

'We won't be going for the likes of Forren this summer.'

The fans parliment has been delayed moved from June 6th to June 25th, presumably because of Wyness's ban. I must say I think it was a stupid thing to retweet, but the ban seems over the top to me, a ban, an awareness training course and a £10,000 fine, surely the course and a fine should be enough.

I wouldn't want Forren. Good pass on him, but bang average in every other aspect. And I've seen him plenty.

Well Tony latest tweet seems to suggest that all the rumours flying around lately aren't true...

I can tell the percentage of the truth of all the transfer news related to us no matter showing where: 0%! #UTV

Just hope the club are smart this summer as I think we'll have the best squad in the division once the relegated clubs lose their gems...add a little golddust and we should be flying.

Can't say I'm especially disappointed with that, don't think we've been linked with many players who'd particularly improve us. Lets hope the ones we're actually are after will improve us.

The 'Scottish Sun' are saying that we've opened negotiations with Stoke about signing Glenn Whelan, and are confident of getting him, despite interest from Burnley. Not a glamourous name but looking on a Stoke forum, and they seem to rate him, but a few imply that he's a slow midfielder so I'm not sure how he'd fit in with Jedinak.

Daily Mail are reporting that United want £5M for Johnston and that Leicester and Watford representitives are in talks with them. So we might miss out on him.

I'd say $ 5 million for Johnstone would be terrific business in today market. It's obviously hard to compete with PL flott, but I hope we will give it a go.

I see people are taking this to mean, that Xia's got no money, but he's been saying stuff like it since before he even officially bought the club.

Not sure on Johnstone at all and I wouldn't be paying 5m for him. There are more experienced keepers available on frees who would do just as good a job for us.

Whelan is another we need to avoid. Jedinak is slow enough as it is.

Yes, if we're to sign one central midfielder, then I hope it's someone a bit more dynamic than Whelan, him and Jedinak in the same midfield really would be too negative.

If we were going to get back up for Jedinak, I'd prefer someone younger. Besides, I don't think Whelan would come here to sit on the bench, it's not as if he hasn't been getting games at Stoke. Story was probably made up anyway, like most this time of year.

Don't think we'll be seeing much movement until July.

What about Tish? Is he surplus to requirements or is it a clean slate for all?

I would like Jedi to drop to CB and replace him with a proper younger more mobile DCM.

Apparently the transfer window opesn tomorrow (June 9th) for English clubs. So maybe we'll start seeing a bit more movement.

Lets just hope we sign quality over quantity. I'd prefer 2-3 quality playets than another 10 average joes

Do we need yet another midfielder? I liked what I saw of Tish, plus would much rather see Hourihane and Lansbury in the middle, without Jedi or a similar player. Sure, we're more defensive with him in the team but at the expense of any coherent attack other than hoof to Kodjia and hope. Or is Whelan a left winger and only just coming into his stride at 33? I have no idea who he is. We may as well have tried to keep Sanchez...

Whelan's not a bad player, but if we do sign him, I hope we're not planning on playing both him and Jedinak in the same midfield.

Anyway Xia's started with his percentages...

I would like to know what our primary tactic would be before I consider signings.
But from a general point of view I'd say this could be Bruce's plan : he needs a CB and decides Jedinak can be that bloke. He needs a DCM as Jedinak doesn't have the legs anymore, gets Whelan in.

But who the fuck knows. I still think we need class winger. Grealish just doesn't cut it. Gonna be interesting to see how much shite we can shift as well. We can probably sell off Richards, Bunn, Bacuna, Amavi, Elphick, Hutton, Gardner and Gabby. Kozak and Sanchez are gone. That is nearly 11 players.
