There will come a time when SB eventually gets the bullet, my guess is that Xia will give him plenty of time though.

This is the place to talk about who, what, where, when, dream choices etc etc etc.

For now though, I'm glad to see the world of football management offering their support to Ranieri and the anger shown towards the club for doing the dirty on the man. They may be struggling, they might go down but they owed the man enough to give him a relegation, ffs who do they think are?

I would love to see the world of football management boycott them, hope every manager, in or out of work tells them where to go.

Nobody owes anybody anything. Obviously Leicester exceeded all expectations but Ranieries rep gets a massive tick.
Regardless of being champions of not Leicester will want to stay in the premiership and have the £100 million that comes with it.
Leicester have looked at the bigger picture and have done what is right for them.
Football is a cut throat business.

Selling whatshisname from their midfield was awfully damaging. I've zero clue what the story was regarding his move to Chelsea but If Ranieri was desperate to keep him and the board was more attracted by the money then to sack him is just downright poor.

I know nothing of Leicester so it may well be that he reinvested the money badly and couldn't get them to perform. In that case...

But if he's been hamstrung by his chairman then, what can you say?

The concerning thing for Villa is that we seemed to have moved into an era of being led by stats and reports. And if we buy a team based on those and the eroformances are as we're seeing now, then what hope do we have finding a manger using the same criteria when stats on them aren't anywhere near as in-depth as they would be for a player?

I think most managers a absolute shysters who are blagging a living and only a relatively small handful are worth the millions they're paid.

Wenger has built modern day arsenal and, although they seem to have gone off him, he's still one of those managers that are right up in terms of being able to pick a young talent, to understand tactics, to have a plan b, and to run the club as a business.

Mourinho strikes me as a chequebook manager.

The bloke at Chelsea seems switched on but let's see if he can build on it.

Pep seemed like a McGrath at Barca but maybe he's been found out.

But there will be some absolute gems out there that are building their teams, getting their clubs promoted and are learning football as a business. They'll have new ideas and will have the ear of their players. A rare find but these managers won't yet be at the top of their game and you won't find them in the top leagues...yet.

But you need to find them and them tempt them which, unless you're extmely successful or extremely rich, will be extraordinarily difficult as there'll be a sense of loyalty and a vision for the future - and maybe a comfort level - so they simply won't come.

And certainly won't if we're in fucking div.3

I hope Bruce stays on, but if we were to get in another manager (AGAIN), I'd prefer it if the man in question was a charismatic fella that has the ego and balls to manage a club like this. We're toilet now, but the expectations from the fans of this club and the media in general require a more charismatic leader than most other clubs (in the championship and probably in the EPL as well).

Tonight's Leicester result could just be one of those things, like when they played Man City.

As for whoever eventually takes over Bruce, although I've been stating we need to find our version of Pochettino or Wagner, that would probably entail taking a risk on someone, and whilst I'd rather do that than go for yet another British hoof-ball merchant. I think what the club really needs is a big name, someone to get the fans excited. Not just any name of course, has to have the right ideas for the club, but after a series of uninspiring appointments we need to make a statement that we're heading in a new direction.

A name that sprang to mind recently, is Ralf Rangick, could help move the club in a new direction. But not so sure if we'd have any chance of getting him whatsoever, and his presence might be stepping on Round's toes, as Rangick would probably have a lot of his own ideas.

On our managerial situation i really do hope that is all turns around for Steve Bruce. We all know the challenges of course but if we can ideally secure top 12 position or at the very least stay in the division without to many scares this season with everything that's gone on then so be it.

SB says that he has waited a long time for his big chance at a club of this "potential" stature. I like that and the way he is making a fist of it under very tough circumstances. As Xia stated he is a fighter and we need that as it will eventually come through in the teams performances.

Lets not forget he learned his trade under greats like Fergie (Although the cynic in me still wonders just how "great" Fergie would have been without the annual favours from the officials which were plentiful).

So i hope that SB has found his spiritual home as a manager and goes on to build a long and highly successful legacy here. My only concern is can he produce a team that's both successful & good to watch. I guess the two go hand in hand to a point but i'd rather a good team to watch than say a Tony Pulis style team which wins a few games but bores you to tears.

The league and managerial scapheap is full of failed managers who've played under Ferguson. Bruce along with Mcleish is one of the more successful ones, and that in itself says a lot.

Hopefully Brucey can turn things around, because he may well be here for a while yet, whether we like it or not. That said I do think Xia's latest tweet puts a bit of pressure on him.

If you ever needed a better example of what's wrong with this game, this is it.
