Thought he did well today - so much so Ive given him his own thread - After Danny Murphy ridiculously overlooked him for man of the match !

Hope he brings his barber with him as well - tishbola, and amavi should be his first customers !

Well done Sammy - hope your a legend here - well until may anyway !

I was delighted with him tbh. Thought he looked by far the safest pair of hands i've seen for us in a long while. Strong, decisive, fast decision making and reliable kicking to boot. Great signing! lets just hope we have an option to buy as i'll be gutted if he leaves now at seasons end.

As for the depressing Danny Murphy (Villa are shit) commentary it was appalling quite frankly. At no point did any of them comment on how this was a game of little interest to Villa as of course promotion is vital this year and we cannot be distracted by replays etc. .. No instead we were poor for not going on all out attack at Spurs away! Muppet!

I thought Sam was great! I gave my MotM vote to Chester but the keeper wasn't far off. I'd love to know if there's a loan-to-buy option but I'm guessing not which is a shame.

Where does he stand in ManUre's pecking order? I'm guessing he's 3rd choice?

I can't get my head round it, we've had him for 2 years hes already in the groove with everything at VP, we have known for the last 12 months that he would be up for sale in the summer and we have all this S**T with no money and looks like we are going to loose out to a local rival, can you imagine what its going to be like when he comes back to VP and plays a blinder Jeeezzzzzz

He's officially signed for Albion now, for £6.5m. He was never coming here in our present predicament, I guess we'll just have to hope Steer is up to the task.

Shame, a huge step down for the lad but all the fault of the idiots running the club.

Not sure I understand the meltdown over this that's happening on twitter at the moment, we were never going to sign him, so inevitably he was going to sign for someone else. In the grand scheme of things a player going to Albion, who wasn't even our player anyway is the least of our worries, Snodgrass, Grabban and possibly Terry will all find new clubs as well. I dread to think of the reaction when we start losing our actual players like Grealish.
