Two options i'd say...

442

...................Gollini.............

..Hutton...Chester..Baker...Cissokho..

..Bacuna..Gardner..Jedinak..Adomah..

..............Gestede...Kodjia.....

or 433

.................Gollini...............

..Hutton..Chester..Baker..Cissokho..

............Bacuna...Jedinak.......
...................Gardner..........
........Adomah............Kodjia..........
...................Gestede......................

I think it's gonna be the first option tbh as I think Bruce is investing in the 442 system right now.

Think he will play 4-4-2 as well.

Think Id have Cissokho & Adomah on oposite sides as they seem to be the main crossers of the ball

Adomah can play on both wings from what I gather.

I'd go for the 442 option of the two DK. Championship teams pack the midfield. Which makes RDM's squad construction over the summer so baffling.

442 makes no sense for us. We don't have the midfield for it. Can't believe that I'm saying this, but AVFC as it stands does not have good enough central midfielders for the second tier in the English league system. That's Lerner's legacy right there.

Agreed, and why Id go for the Mourinho school of football against Liverpool which is keep the ball away from the centre backs, in fact anywhere in the centre as I really don't want us losing possession there, and with Gardner in, that situation looks likely.

So folks on twitter are saying it's 433 tonight and tbh I'm not complaining. Adomah on the right, Kodjia on the left with Rudy up the middle. Bacuna helping Gards and Jedi in the middle of the park which is smart I think because he's adds some legs in the engine room.

I like the fact he has dropped some underperformers to the bench! Good to see! (McCormack for instance) Will be interesting to see how Kodija and Gestede get on together too.

I like it personally but hey.. I put Gardner in my lineup btw way deKuip purely as i guessed Grealish would be banned and heck.. we have nobody else!! Tshibola yes but my guess he is one of the unfit ones so he's rested him plus we needed someone on the bench!! This was my thinking tbh plus with us being away from home it gives us pretty much our most gritty lineup (although i use the word gritty through gritted teeth lol! Commentators saying how loud the villa fans are, so much that they are struggling to hear each other! (I mean the commentators, not the fans)

Well you called it right mate re: Gardner - can see your logic and he's only given it away once so far lol

Reading with 67% possession so far which is unsurprising as they top the Championship for possession (62% average).

It sounds like they are targeting our left, lots of attacks coming from that flank.

Reading on top now.

Listening on Channel 722 (digital tv freeview) BBC radio WM, early days after 23 min, but 1-1 draw I think. As I type Villa hating, slum-dwelling, 12-toed, inbred freak have gone 2-0 up against Rotherham.

It's amazing isn't it - a £60m close season and we still look as fragile as fuck - we just don't offer anything - we don't scare anyone. Unless we change things the best we can hope for on the performance so far is 0-0
