Newcastle's tactic is simply - get it wide. Follow up with midfield.

Our tactic - fuck knows. I've got absolutely no idea what we are trying to do at all. There's nothing.

Adomah and Gollini the only players of substance so far.

Elphick and Jedinak are frankly diabolical - amateurish is kind.

I'm inclined to sack RDM soon if it doesn't improve. I'm a strong supporter of continuity and such, but right now it looks like we neither have a plan, and tactic the players understand. And our players simply don't look motivated.

Bruce actually looks like a tempting appointment. RDM needs to get his head out of his arse.

This really is shocking to watch. I had concerns about making Elphick the captain as I felt he wasn't good enough to hold down his position and I'm being proven right with every game I see. Westwood? Complete and utter garbage again.

The team looks like a set of players who doesn't have a clue what the manager is asking them to do and this is a massive indictment on the jobs RDM, Clarke and the other staff are doing right now.

He'd better make changes for the second half otherwise he'll be literally giving the game to Toon on a plate.

The crazy thing is we could see the system didn't work at Ipswich and yet he persisted with that crap and we're paying the price now.

Couldn't disagree more. He's literally the only player we have that gets stuck in and wants to win something. He has the odd clanger, but they all do.

He's there to DEFEND, and thus far he's shown he's actually not very good at it.

how does Ayew get selected, totally looks uninterested again, when kodija was through, Ayew should been in the box for a pass along, but no where to be seen, you can tell he doesnt want to be hete so drop the useless sugarbag.

another game and more players played out of position, why cant we just go 442.

Thank McGrath we have managed to get in at HT just the 1 goal down. That was utter garbage, worse than useless. Defending is atrocious, midfield non existent, nothing for the front men to work with. I feared Benitez would get the better of RDM tactically, I just hadn't factored in that we'd appear to have no tactics whatsoever. I'm afraid this is down to the manager and coaching, can only hope the 2nd half is much improved. Forget promotion at this moment, we look poor enough to drop again.

It does raise serious questions over what kind of post-game analysis happens and what impact that has on training. Are we too fucking stupid to learn? Has RDM already lost the dressing room as Smetro has regularly suggested could happen?

I just cannot fathom how RDM is trying to have us set up, today even more than normal. When fan-pressure is on the increase, you'd hope we might see focus, composure, organisation and a fucking spine to prove the naysayers wrong and yet we have witnessed none of that in the first 47mins.

I could ask how the fuck does Westwood still get a starting place, but the same question can start to be asked of a number of players now. It really is beginning to be a fucking insult, that the claret and blue shirt is merely a gravy train ridden by robbing fucking charlatans.

I don't want to be down on the team and I have already opposed the notion of giving RDM the heave ho but FUCK ME ASTON VILLA PROVE PEOPLE FUCKING WRONG, MAKE US FUCKING PROUD AND PULL YOUR FUCKING FINGERS OUT YOU BUNCH OF UTTER FUCKING TWATS.

Ahem.

What is going on at this club. We spent a fortune in the Summer and we are still watching the likes if Bacuna and Westeood polluting the midfield. 25% possession is a disgrace.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say we are going to come out and dominate the second half, for no other reason than we have been great first half and poor second, so after that sh**te that has to be the way it goes. Just hope we can score too. lol! lol! lol!

No doubt there are better CB's in this world, but you commented on his ability to be captain. If the requirement to be captain is to be a good player we as a club wouldn't have a captain.

Just look at the amount of players we have that stand around ball watching. Nobody closes down. No energy. Nothing.

They aren't playing for RDM that's pretty clear. He's done. The dressing room must be lost.
