Our players contract lengths!!

Just for those wondering how long some of our players contracts are, this is the information I've found.


Bunn= Contract up at the end of this season

Hutton= Contract up at the end of this season

Kozak= Contract up at the end of this season

Gardner= Contract up at the end of this season

Mason= Contract up at the end of this season

Calder= Contract up at the end of this season

Lyden= Contract up at the end of this season

Suliman= One and a half years left

Murphy= One and a half years left

Agbonlahor= Two years left

Cissokho= Two years left

Sanchez= Two years left

Jedinak= Three years left

Adomah= Three years left

Green= Three years left

Bacuna= Three years left

Richards= Three years left

Baker= Three years left

Steer= Three years left

Gil= Three years left

Toner= Three years left

Elphick= Three years left

Kodjia= Four years left

Chester= Four years left

Westwood= Four years left

Gestede= Four years left

To sum it up we're in a pretty good position with so many of the poor/average players only having until the end of the season. We could potentially get promoted and then have a complete clean out ahead of our return to the big time. Giving the likes of Westwood, Clark, Steer, Baker and Bacuna those big contract extensions when we did was simply madness imo!!..But it's no surprise the way the club was being run at the time. Hopefully a few more on this list will be out the door in the next few weeks aswell.

Resign Hutton in my opinion especially for this league. Solid proffesional in my view.
Also Kozak. Just my opinion guys and girls.

Yeah personally I hope we sign a new right-back who is solid but much better going forward than Hutton. I think Hutton is part of the "old brigade" like Gabby who needs shifting tbh. I'd sign up Okore but I doubt that happens when he's not playing at the moment. Gardner's future will come down to whether he makes the grade for us this season, it's as simple as that.

The rest of those who have until the end of the season could struggle tbh. I think Bennett, Lescott and Kozak could all be out of the door pretty soon when you consider they weren't even in the squad yesterday.

Calder, Mason and Toner I'm not sure will make it here and Lyden remains a mystery. Might be worth giving him a one year deal and sending him out on loan straight away because the lad does have the ability to score goals from midfield by the looks of it and that's something we need right now.

With Okore, Toner and Lyden in the last year of their contracts, let's hope they get renegotiated sharpish. I've a feeling Bennett will come good too but I appreciate that I might be in the minority there.

Everything else on that list looks healthy.

Westwood 4 years and Bacuna 3 years!!! That's criminal!

Just updated the list. Okore, Lescott, Adama and Bennett gone. Bunn, Hutton, Kozak and Gardner all into the final year of their deals so it will be interesting to see if any get offered a new deal. Only Gardner would have a chance i'd think. And that depends on whether he gets his act together within the next few months.

Pretty much summed up our next job after promotion the final big clear out and i can't wait, i do believe the players like Okore are mentally damaged from last season and there is no coming back only way for them is to move and and start over.

It is exciting though seeing so many at the end of the season leave will open up spaces for us to add a few top players when promoted,
