Re: Ravel Morrison set for Villa?
Good. He might be talented. He might do a job for a month or 4. But from everything that's been said he's a twat that has no place at this club.

That's true but if said player fails to learn from them then I don't think he's worth the risk. Not for the stupid money footballers are on. Give him a contract based solely on performance and I'd be keen to see what he can do.

Think the likelihood of him signing has passed, he was in the country today playing for Lazio at Brighton, and scored by the way. And there hasn't even been a whisper of us being in contact with him.

Bit of a difference between Grealish getting caught doing hippy crack and Morrison being in and out of court for such things as witness intimidation

Re: Ravel Morrison set for Villa?
Poster on VT who appears to be genuinely 'ITK', (knew about Clarke and Bond before anybody else and Petrov not being offered a playing contract) called villa_southerner has said that this move is back on, but he or she believes we are far away from getting it completed.

Seems this has picked up pace in the last few hours. A few people on twitter saying he may be having a medical today/tomorrow.

Re: Ravel Morrison set for Villa?
He won't be having his medical today or tomorrow. Because he's tweeted that he's coming to the UK for a game against Brighton with Lazio.
But Trent on Villatalk and the guy I mentioned above seem to think it's on, so there's a good chance he'll be signing soon.

I must have dreamt that he'd already played Brighton and scored. Tell you what if the game hasn't happened I'm having a tenner on him scoring lol

You are in fact correct DK. Played 31st July and he scored after 27 mins.

I disagree we could swap Adam to the left flank?

Re: Ravel Morrison set for Villa?
So the latest new is the Lazio manager has said this.
HERE is the link. Can someone possibly tweet this to Tony please? If he's on the market it should be a no brainer surely?
Simone Inzaghi: "Ravel Morrison is on the market. He is seeking a new destination."

He's failed everywhere.
Undoubtedly a talent but i'm interested to know why people think it's a good move for us?

Re: Ravel Morrison set for Villa?
Just to save anyone else bothering looking, here's what Wikipedia has to say:
In early 2011, Morrison received a 12-month referral order and was ordered to pay £1,445 in costs and compensation after admitting two counts of witness intimidation.[56][57] After an assault charge was dropped when Morrison's girlfriend refused to testify, he was convicted of criminal damage for throwing her mobile phone out of a window and advised to undergo domestic violence counselling.[58] In February 2012, Morrison was involved in controversy after posting a homophobic threat on Twitter, responding to criticism by calling another user a "faggot".[59] He was charged under FA rule E3, which governs use of abusive and/or insulting words including reference to a person's sexual orientation, and accepted his guilt.[60] He was fined £7,000.[61]
Morrison was remanded in custody on 31 July 2014 after being charged with two counts of common assault against a former girlfriend and her mother.[62] He was freed on bail after three days in custody.[63] In August 2014 he appeared at Manchester Crown Court entering not-guilty pleas to two counts of assault, one of assault causing actual bodily harm and one count of harassment. A provisional trial date was set for 26 January 2015.[64] In November 2014 he was found not guilty of the harassment charge of threatening to throw acid in the face of his ex-girlfriend and have her killed after the Crown Prosecution Service withdrew the charge.[65] On 15 January 2015, Morrison was cleared of all charges of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and her mother.[66]

Re: Ravel Morrison set for Villa?
Morrison is scumbag surrounded by other scumbags who feed his scumbag ego whilst draining his scumbag wallet
BUT as I've said before, there's a very good chance that he'll move to a club where everything clicks and he will be world class if that happens. I'd happily take the gamble on us being that club as we won't be the last one

Made me laugh. Ironically I was absolutely certain he would sign for us. Seems like I was wrong.
Anyway good news I reckon.

Do we know that for sure though? I actually think he is worth a punt, as long as he doesn't cost us too much, has performance and good behaviour clauses and wears a tag so he doesn't break a 7pm-7am curfew. And his wage goes into a trust for when he's grown up.

I get the feeling that if he was to join Dr X would have his methods for making sure he behaves.

These 'methods' involve electrodes... and testicles
