as for new players we need a prolific striker, an experienced midfielder who can pass a ball to his own player, a hard man centreback and a half decent keeper. IMO!

It's worth people remembering that any wage reduction clause in a players contract doesn't necessarily mean it will happen. Aston Villa FC can choose not to invoke it should they wish to keep a player sweet for a year or so. What's more concerning are release clauses set stupidly low that won't even allow us to replace like for like with the fee.

I get why people think Clarke would be good enough in the Championship but for me he always has one disaster per game in his play and I get that the Prem is quicker and that may cause his mistakes but for me it would continue. I just never feel safe for 90 mins with him and never have. The disadvantage in him going - if he does - I feel is that he's not one of the disaster crew and as such will be someone we'll need to replace as well as all the other idiots. I'm happy to see him replaced but maybe in a timescale that suits us, not in a panic cos he's gone, which just means selling teams up their prices as they know we'd be desperate to buy a replacement. Mind you, that might happen anyway if people think we're minted.

Not bothered about Clarke as said earlier and we already have 3/4 of out back 4 sorted, for the champ I think Hutton is adequate/or promote from within, next up Okore, blank, Amavi......

We don't need much IMO, defo a keeper, midfield general(captain) and a striker if we need one. I make 3 must gets and then invest big next summer.

Anyone know which side is Oscar Borg best suited to? Can he be a 1st choice RB or is he predominantly left sided? excellent prospect from what I've heard.

I hope Clarke leaves.. never liked him, has the odd decent game but is over rated as is Baker and to a lesser extent Okore, not to say they cant do it in the championship but I have never looked at a line up with any of those 3 in and felt confident they aren't going to be the cause of at least one goal conceded.

Yes, I'm not sure about that one either!

I like Clark and thought he and Okore played well together last year. With Hutton on one side and Amavi on the other I think they'd make a settled and good back line.

With Keeper behind them, that would be more then adequate Sir.........

Just saying that if CC leaves then no big deal as we can find better for that money.

On the pitch, he seems to have the right attitude. I've seen nothing off it to indicate he's one of the rotten bastards that contributed to our undoing.

He's learned the ropes at Villa, is an international and has a lot of good experience coming his way. He's the right age so Villa should be looking at keeping him, IMO.

If Roberto does come, what does his transfer history indicate that he'll likely buy? Can expect hard grafting English players or are we more likely to see foreign imports?

Anyone who doesn't want to give their all for the shirt needs to leave and they need to be replaced by players who are still hungry and want to win every single game they play. We have way too many passengers and toxic presences in the dressing room and that has to be ruthlessly sorted this summer.

Just scouting the Eng Aus game & who does the Aus number 10 play for as he seems handy & Frazier Forrester is a beast in goal so would take him too

My Brother is Brighton supporter - this season just keeps getting more interesting for us!

I'm sure the club will accept any and all bids for him. Getting them to match hos wages and conditions (lots for nothing) is called different question.

Any new club will also require a decent nite club scene and an endless supply of slappers willing to accept his seed.

Our luck is really changing if we can get £2m for Gabby.
