Re: Underrated PL footballers
I don't think Albrighton is bad player, but I think he was unfortunate with coming through in the MON era.
We were a counter attacking team and pace and strength was the name of the game. Young had pace in spades, but Albrighton didn't.
I think he would be more suited to how we play now then at that point in time. Oh well, too late for that anyway.

You avin' a Turkish Dan?
He also had skill, touch, vision, passing and shooting missing from his game. In fact like Gabby he came from the headless chicken football school. Decent athlete, rubbish footballer!
Over rated at Wet Spam, brought by MON for a massive fee, paid massive wages and couldn't get in the team. A bit like Kozak he managed to become a better player by not playing. Left here claiming he had offers from Milan etc ended up in the lower leagues, moved to the league for knackered has beens were Bradley Wright-Philips (yes the shit one out of the W-P clan) looks like Messi week in week out.
If you are going to nominate NRC then let's put in DJx2 or JMII or Berson or Gabby. NRC was a legend in his own living room only! like Gabby he had the touch of a rapist but could run about a bit.

Remember seeing him against Norway and thought he was the best footballer I had ever seen.
I was kinda hoping for more present footballers in this thread, but if we're talking old premier league footballers I'm giving you Okacha (mind spelling) and Alan Wright.
