I need to stop watching Villa. I'm destroyed for the remainder of the weekend.

Whilst I think some of the blame lies with Sherwood, the rest of the problem lies with our fucking players who have just delivered one of the most pathetic reversal of fortunes that I've seen in a long time.
Sanchez and Bacuna in particular will be the downfall of this team. Utter shitbastards - the former I'm surprised at as he seemed to be improving then returns to the same old Sanchez from last season but Bacuna has played himself out of the team repeatedly as far as I'm concerned.
No-one earned their shirt today except Gil.

Absolutely fizzing right now. From the kick off in the second half Leicester came out like a bullet from a gun. Instead of trying to slow the game down and yet to get a foothold on it we continued counter attacking and giving the ball away every time. The game was crying for veretout to shore it up at 2 nil. And I dint even want to get started on guzan for their third. Appalling second half performance all round

Ive said it before and I will say it again - Sherwood can't organise a defence - it matters little who those players are.

Nah this wasn't on Sanchez. Sanchez was utterly knackered. He and Westwood had to run and cover an overrun midfield for 90 minutes, while the two other midfielders i.e. Gil and Grealish don't track back at all.
Sherwoods answer was two strikers. The man hasn't a fucking clue.

I cannot believe after the same thing happened at Palace that we'd repeat it again two games later. We went from bossing both games in the first half to being totally clueless after the break. Big weeks ahead for the manager. .

Lescott was terrible. He was dribbling in the defence, then losing the ball which gave away the first goal. He followed that up by being out of position for the second goal.
Terrible, terrible match from him.

Typical Villa...Lift you up and give you false hope then smash it to pieces with patheticness.
Appears we still have a bunch of losers...shameful

Why are your surprised ? - the defence has been on a downward spiral since his arrival here.

I return to the drum I've been banging all season, Sanchez on as a sub after 70 minutes. He goes to sleep if he has to play a full 90 minutes and he'd be far more effective coming on as a fresh-legged sub to break up play when everyone else is starting to falter. We missed Gueye and I'd rather he and Westwood started with Veretout and Sinclair, Gil, Traore and Grealish fought it out for the attacking positions. Kozak's been shagging Sherwood's wife, there's no other reason Ayew is playing league (rather than cup) matches and our best striker in pre-season (and I suspect best striker at the club) hasn't seen any league football this season.
Still at least Grealish finally has a goal, and Gil's one was a cracker too. Richards played well.

It's very hard to blame anybody really for that other than to praise Leicester. That second half was incredible and would have torn apart lots of teams.
Far too many people use any excuse to blame Sherwood. This match last year we'd have lost by 5

Leicester were lucky because two of the goals they scored (first and last) were weird. you cannot repeat them on the training ground. however, they were attacking and dominating and when you dominate sometimes the luck goes your way.
Sherwood did make a bad decision. the turning point was bringing on Ayew (bad karma) for Gil. instead after we went 2-0 up we should have brought on Veretout for Gil - a more defensive-minded player. I don't understand that substitution.
Leicester's second goal was a great goal. I don't blame Lescott for that. whenever a good goal is score you can always point the finger at a defender but actually, it's just a good goal. they happen. the turning point for me was the Ayew for Gil substituion. inexplicable. the result of this was we lost the midfield.

Agreed, credit where it's due Leicester came out like a different team for the second half and let's not ignore the fact they're not second in the league for nothing.
I think Tim has a lot to answer for and a lot to think about but fuck me did the team let themselves down today.

remember we went 2-0 up in the second half. the turning point was the Ayew for Gil substitution. this lost us the midfield just at the point Leicester had to completely go for it with the kitchen sink. we needed to replace Gil with a more defensive-minded player. that substitution explains it all IMO.

Maybe - but the manager has ultimate responsibility for the team.
I also think alot of the players Sherwood has signed aren't up to much tbh.

after we substituted Gil we lost the midfield. that's it, really.
so far I'm pleased with Sinclair, Richards and Amavi. Lescott we have to give a few games. Gestede, not sure yet if he has the technical skills for the Premier League.

Just watched that game in the pub. How the actual fuck did we lose that?! We had the game in the palm of our hand, but credit to Leicester for coming back with real quality!
Terrible defending for Dyer's goal. Both Guzan and Hutton (I think it was him?) backed out of it, unbelievable. A draw would've been fair today.
Initially I thought taking Gabby off would've been right, but he did get the assist for our second goal! I thought Ayew would be better than Gabby, but he wasn't! All he did was lose the ball today.
Can't believe we've lost that game to Leicester. Leicester City of all teams. Unbelievable!
Still, onwards and upwards! Albion next!

We were bullied out of it, after a great start we the going got tough we just were not up to it. We are desperate for a striker as we all know it was plain to see today.

Ayew came on for Gil immediately after we went 0-2 up.
Gestede came on for Gabby nine minutes later when it was 1-2. I don't think that substitution helped either. Gabby's pace would have been an outlet on the break. we didn't need a set piece goal. we needed to keep what we had. late in the game Sanchez and Westwood lost the midfield. that's why Leicester dominated. they needed help but the substitutions the manger made didn't give them any help. inexplicable why a defensive midfielder (Vertout or Richardson) was not added to help us win control of possession.

I know mate. I was expecting Ayew to be substituted for Gabby, but was surprised when Ayew came on for Gil.

I hope someone within the camp has the wit and the balls to point the finger directly at Tim after that. He needs to be called on this debacle. It was obvious from when they brought Dyer on for The Japanese lad that they were getting more joy at getting at our fullbacks especially Bacuna.

True but Leicester were able to distribute the ball to their wide players frequently. Their forwards Vardy and Mahrez were very influential. if we had dominated the midfield in the latter stages of the match they would not have had the ball.

I think the biggest mistake made was not packing the midfield earlier. The game was crying out for someone like Veretout.

That's why Tim needs to be called on this. He did NOTHING to negate the tinkermans changes. It's unbelievable that a team that was in so much control in the first half was swept aside by a few subs and a change in formation.

Absolutely. Vertout has the fitness for 30 minutes of Premier League action and would have made more tackles than Jordan Ayew who apparently is even less defensive-minded than Gil (which is saying something).
I'm all for scoring goals but when you are 0-2 away from home I call that a nice amount of goals. no extra fans to please. you don't need more than a 0-2 win away from home.
