Article by Luke Beardsworth. I'm guessing he's a Villa fan but if he's not, then kudos to him for being knowledgable, non-biased and, frankly, right on the button!

They're put through software which monitors low frequency wave patterns and can distinguish slight changes in monotone droning. They were intended for use in observing whales shagging but Lambert demumbling is a byproduct.

Anyway, why don't we ask Chelsea for the loan of Loic Remy this season? I think he'd fit in well with our Frenchies, even if his name isn't Jordan.
He has the pace we need and can finish.

Would love to read that we've hijacked the De Bruyne transfer.

Daily express linking us to Victor Vazquez after Almstadt was spotted at the match.

long time listener 3rd (or 4th, maybe even 6th) time caller. Alright lads.
This could (will) go down terribly, but why not a move for Nolan? I *cannot* stand the bloke - he's orrible, and scouse. BUT, what we clearly now have in quality and energy, we *massively* (IMO) lack in nouse/savviness (see palace result). He would undoubtedly add that, some proper PL experience and a bit of bite, too.

Jonny Evans looks like he is going to the tesco bags which means Lescott will come to us for a fee around £1 million

Keep posting mate. Can't agree with Nolan but I agree with your reasoning. I just think Nolan is shot as a top flight player now.

I'd rather have Jonny Evans than Lescott who is shot and well past his best , even if the fee is £1m

Once a very good player, but can still offer a lot of support to the younger player's and aid in developing younger player's, the bonus is he's a VILLA fan, you can't go wrong with that.
Not expecting a fresh legged 25/26 year old ( who would cost a bundle ) is not a bad way to go about business, Lescott has a year or two in him and will prove beneficial in the long run.

Prefer to have Lescott and 5 million in the kitty any day than 6 million for EvansB62 Villa wrote:SLV

I don't rate Evans. Rather have Lescott as cover instead of Baker than Evans near the starting XI

Point is that Evans would never come here to be backup. Lescott would.
Now the real question is whether Clark is good enough to be first choice. I personally think he is

Lescott is a great signing... Even at 33, he's significantly better than Baker and could even give Clark a run for a starting spot. He can also cover LB, if Amavi ever picks up an injury. Villa fan, best friends with Captain Micah, England international, and another "winner" to lead the squad. This is a coup for the reported £1m.
Pick up Adebayor on deadline day and this will round out one of the greatest ever transfer windows for us...

With Lescott and Okore fit we'd have centre halves with 2 young bucks with loads of potential (Clark and Okore) with 2 experienced premier league winners (Richards and Lescott) all of which can also cover RB or LB if needed to.
Downside?

I'd rather have Lescott than Evans any day. Even at the same price.
I've never thought of Evans as anything but shite.

Lescott needs to do another interview with this kid after he signs for us. This was hilarious.

Re: Summer transfers speculation thread (all links in here until it's official)
I'm looking at how we play and how well we've improved in so many places and while I thought we'd be alright with just a striker I just look at Hutton not being that good at either defending or crosses, and compare him to Amavi who is very good at both, and think we do need a RB. Even if Sinclair moves to the middle (with three out of Grealish, Traore, Gil and Veretout behind him) we're still going to need another striker.

Re: Summer transfers speculation thread (all links in here until it's official)
Imagine this.
Rodgers sacked.
New manager sees Benteke isn't working for Liverpool.
Offers him back.
Lerner agrees he's worth it.
That completes our team.
Years of a striker without support.
Now we've got support without a striker.
