Look, there has been speculation. The young lad is reluctant to leave France so I would have reservations about signing a player that young and that reluctant which is why I dont think he will come. I would like it but don't expect it.

However it is perfectly feasible for there to be no leaking of information, you just don't believe that.

There was more likelihood of Wilkins leaking than Amavi in my opinion.

I think that's VERY clear haha! As it can't be proved then let's wait and see. In this country it's far more likely the Wilkins story would have got out than the young French left back (I've never heard of him) I think most would agree on that. However that still doesn't prove if he had a medical or not. Time will tell or we may never know! Let's see....

If he had a medical I think it would be out by now.

Where was it reported he had a medical? On the day a dubious facebook account reported Huddlestone had had a medical it was also reported that our offer for Amavi had been accepted

It was reported on here, by one of our own posters, who presumably believed he had a legit source of legit info.

Who has had proven legit info from behind the scenes before. Which, at the moment, is more tangible than a few people saying it's not true because the whole world isn't talking about it. In my book anyway.

For me if any news was to break, It would have been a far bigger story of a well established English coach joining a team that has been narrowly avoiding relegation season after season, as well as his battle with alcoholism. Then one of a young French defender with promise tbh.

No one had any clue of Wilkins joining the villa not a snippet. Apart from the rumoured bid I’ve never heard of the kid.

There has been more than that, but yes that was the most 'high profile'.

Anyway I'm locking this, as it's turned into a load of drivel about ITK. If anything happens with the player coming to Villa, which seems unlikely, I'll reopen it.

Have no idea what he's like, but read a lot and he seems the real deal and a real quality signing.

54 games and 3goals, that's a better strike rate than the snake!

I can't even remember our last good left back. I know people will say Bouma, but I honestly think I'm going as far back as Wright

Come on mods the topic title still saying speculation, let's get it changed to signed :-)

Also can we have it going across the top, seeing as our club site and SSN can't be bothered let's have TBAR Lead the way.
