This could be fun. As we've got some car nuts on here.

For me, Villa would be the DeLorean DMC-12 (Back To The Future car). Not really ever considered a supercar, it still surprised everyone by becoming one of the most iconic and recognisable cars in the world in the 80's against all the odds and still instantly recognisable today.  These days the company is in completely different hands (nothing to do with the original owner) and are just overpriced and underpowered.

Birmingham City (has to be done, right?):

Austin Maestro
Austin really couldn't have the made the Maestro worse if they had tried. The awful engines dated all the way back to the 1950s, the build quality was appalling, the design was hideous, and British Leyland had the fantastic idea of fitting a talking dashboard which warned the driver if anything went wrong with the car. Which it did. All the time.

Don't diss the Mighty Maestro:

EDIT: Those are early Leyland Princesses (so early in fact they weren't Princesses) in your picture.

Back in the early eighties this was probably one of the finest motor cars on the market:
If Villa were a car Photo-rolls-royce-silver-spirit

The problem with a Rolls Royce, much like a top football club, is that they need constant investment, love and care or even skillful ownership to continue to perform at that level.

If you don't they end up like this:
If Villa were a car Rolls

Throughout its life, a Rolls Royce will probably have a variety of owners. Each of which will probably have differing approaches, whose attention might wax and wane depending on their attitude and personal ability to fund repairs. An old Rolls Royce can still perform well, bring joy to those inside and can always be returned to its former glory with commitment, skillful work and also if you throw enough money at it. You just don't let the rot set in: http://www.rmw.lv/page/en/Restoration-process-Virsbuves-restauracija

A burned out MK5 Ford Escort. Not very good, even on its best day. It's now a hopeless mess.

Chelsea:

Okay it is a Rolls Royce, but it is a vulgar, classless one that suggests it belongs to somebody with too much money.

For my first post on the forum, I'll do Man Utd....new model for this year...
If Villa were a car Wrecke11
Last year's model was pristine...the production line was put under new management and the new model this year, well it leaves a lot to be desired.

Sadly the way things are at present I see us as a clapped out old banger - with the potential to be a Mercedes under the right owner and manager .

He inherited champions, and turned them into a shell of their former selves. UTD with mostly the same people are not doing so hot, Everton with mostly the same people are doing better. Goes to show what a good manager can do for you.
