Cracking game, shame for Jack though was never a second yellow.
Sinclair wins it with a defence splitting run & cracking goal.

Tim the messiah! Pitch invasion was a reaction to the dreadful season and football we've been watching I think. A fine is to be expected and I hope Sherwood comes out and says how terrible it is to calm the FA down.
What a win though!

Back to back wins who would have thought it, we need to be on the front foot all the time, if we try to defend we are awful.

I just like the fact that we now seem to be able to move up a gear.
If things carry on like this a few injured players will suddenly find themsleves extra keen to get back on the pitch...

Gabby, Zog, Benteke, Clark, Lowton, Sinclair all look brand new players under super Tim! Hopefully Benteke is only minor because I still wouldn't fancy a run in without him even though we have goals from all over the pitch suddenly.
Optimistic now and it's been a long time since that's happened.
Villa park rocking and it's been a long time since that's happened.
Real heart on the pitch and it's been a long time ...
Pressing the ball as a team and it's been a long ...
Massive work rate from all 11 and it's ...
You see my point.

A proverbial game of two halves, what a difference a strong passionate manager makes in the dressing room. Two poor red cards, and a pitch invasion caused by years of frustration. UP THE VILLA!!!!

What a day, a great great victory, make no mistake about that!! Will be sadly tarred by the HUGE overreaction to the pitch invasion. The one during the match was plain stupid, BUT it was the small minority, the one after the whistle totally expected, we've been in the doldrums for years and all that release came out today. I hope the FA use their common sense here. We have a good record as set of fans, this shouldn't ruin what was a magic day.
I'm outraged by the BBC reaction to it. Mark Lawrenson likened to to "being back in the 80's" Really? Really Mark? This was exuberance NOT Hooliganism. Oddly no mention of WBA fans ripping out seats and throwing them at Villa fans. Made me furious, him and Pearce were completely OTT and set the tone for further outrage imo.
Anyway, Wembley here we come woohoo!!!!

I didn't get up at 3am to watch but recorded the game and watched it while I had my coco-pops.
But ESPN cut the recording short by 20 mins, the bastards! Waiting for the replay in a couple of hours as I missed all the drama.
When's the draw for the next round? And can we pay someone to get either Bradford or Reading?

A few stupid (drunken?) fans before the final whistle, a lot of very exuberant fans after the final whistle, and a holier than thou BBC who directly caused the problem by scheduling a derby QF at the time they did, and then wallowed in the joy of condemning Villa fans as the diabolical 80's hooligans reincarnated. No doubt an equally culpable FA will dip their snouts in a huge trough filled with Villa banknotes.

My prediction RE the pitch invasion/FA:
They'll fine us about £30K less than the prize money we get for winning. They did the same for Wet Spam when their ineligable player scored the winner

Lionel Messi Offers To Pay Pitch Invasion Fine
Barcelona ace Lionel Messi has offered to pay any fine dished out by the FA for the pitch invasion at Villa Park following the local derby win.
The four times Ballon D'Or winner was in the crowd to watch his beloved Villa score two on their way to the semi finals at Wembley.
"How do you say eet in Eenglish? The dog's testicle? Si, it was the testicle of the dog. A fantasteec evening. When I ran of the pitch I had to duck a few chairs but I was determined to get Delph's boots. But he eez running very fast so I only got one.
"Then I could not believe my luck when Jack Grealish ran past. I tried to grab a few strands of his fucking mental hair"
Lionel Messi tries to grab a few strands of Grealish's fucking mental hair.
It was silly but I just lost my fucking mind so I will pay any fine those stupid fuck-clowns decide to hand out."
Asked if he would go to the semi final at Wembley he said "I have commitments to Barcelona unless of course I pick up a mystery illness or freak injury which I'll ensure happens even if I have to jump off a ladder onto some house bricks"
West Brom fans, meanwhile, will be investigated for their part in the fracas.
"It aye fair", one bitter bird was heard to cry. "They'm vile bastids ent 'alf tekkin the piss out of us, loike. The city ent theirs. No way. We're beating them in the league aye we so that settles it. Anyway, I gorra gew and chuck a few seats about owright?"

Re: FA Cup Quarter Final : Villa v WBA Saturday 7th March 5:30pm kick off.
The pitch invasion was a reaction to the time this local derby was given. People were very drunk before the game had started which if you can hold your beer fair enough. I walked along with a mate who is a baggies fan and some of the idiots were out in full force. Saw a man with an albino scarf get called an effing runt whilst holding his daughters hand.
On another note bar the pitch invasion thought we were fantastic in the second half, could not fault a single player. It's good to see a manager who knows how to get the best out of CNZ our previous managers had the players so static that our most creative players could not flourish. CNZ should now be one of our best players due to the pass and move tactic being adopted at Villa.

Re: FA Cup Quarter Final : Villa v WBA Saturday 7th March 5:30pm kick off.
I just watched the highlights for the third time. Our assists were by N'Zog and Grealish. I'll be interested to see if Sherwood can get N'Zog working properly, he's started the last two so he's at the very least being given a chance. It's great to see Grealish get an assist though and even if I haven't liked N'Zog it's good to see Sherwood giving everyone a chance. It's going to give the academy players a lift knowing they'll be given a chance, unlike with Lambert. I suspect it's going to also make the club more attractive to potential joinees.
I missed Grealish's first yellow, what was it for? I think the red will be rescinded, it looked like he dived until you see it from a second angle. The West Brom player sent off, was the second card justified too? Bacuna got to the ball first so should have have jumped over him or what?
I don't know about you lot but I have a cracking hangover this morning and can hardly see!

Can't be rescinded as you can't challenge a yellow card. Neither was a sending off, ref had a mare
