That gave me such a buzz that I immediately grabbed a beer (at 4.45pm for God's sake) and toasted Benjamin Zephaniah and THE VILLA! .... any excuse! Very Happy

I haven't got a clue how this game will pan out, as I haven't got a clue who will play for Villa, therefore I will sit on the fence and say a draw.

Can't make this game as I will be away but I will be there in spirit!

It's crazy to think that if we win tomorrow we get to Wembley without having faced a decent team. Semi finals at Wembley turn the whole competition into a bit of a joke don't you think?

Yes I long for semi-finals to be back to neutral grounds.

I wouldn't say it makes the competition a joke, but I do believe it would be better if they were back at neutral grounds. There was something special about that I think.

Anyway, if Vlaar is fit then I'd run with this today:

I'd be tempted to go three at the back if for no other reason than Pulis would have watched the last game over and over and have come up with a response. Completely changing the formation will really fuck with him. And give us numbers in midfield.

I'm not sure Pulis can change too much, he's very set with what he does tactically. What he won't want is the space left for gabby to exploit with his pace again, so if anything they'll be tighter at the back. I'm not expecting them to be any more expansive than they were Tuesday, just asked to be quicker off the mark from the first whistle. For us, I guess Vlaar will come back in if fit. I personally would rather replace Hutton with Bacuna and keep Lowton where he was on Tuesday night. Guzan, Bacuna, Lowton, Clark, Vlaar, Westwood, Delph, Cleverley, Nzogbia, Agbonlahor, Benteke. Plenty of options on the bench in Sinclair, Gil, Weimann, Grealish, Sanchez. What we can't have is any defensive injuries, it's a bit thin there.

Benteke out injured, big blow. That changes the entire dynamic of the game, we now look quite small and lightweight compared to the baggies line up. Ball on the floor day for us today then!!

18 minutes in and this referee concerns me, already made two or three blatantly wrong calls against us. Oh, and our defence looks what it is, cobbled together!

A pretty dire first half showing. There should be tea cups flying in that dressing room in the half time "talk"

Ugh... Pathetic... Looks like we're playing under Lambert again... Barely any movement from the front 3, causing all kinds of issues going forward. Losing Benteke destroyed our gameplan (aka boot it to the big man to flick on to Gabby) and we look completely lost and out of options.

Need to take off N'Zogbia for Gil to try to create something soon.

Brilliant second half. Delph was immense. Bullshit red card or Grealish, and it's a shame he's going to miss the Sunderland match because of it.

Hopefully the pitch invasion won't effect the trip.
