1st 7 mins in Delph lucky not to get a yellow.

Delph will be hauled off at half time.yellow card after 2 stupid tackles and should think himself lucky he didn't get a red card. Hasn't been in the game since after a very promising opening.

Just dont get what goes through delphs head. He has largely cut out those sort of tackles from his game at villa and inside 9 minutes he slides in from behind, which has been yellow card offence for 5 years now, and then after being warned about that he lunges in at the by line when the Swiss bloke was going nowhere. Idiotic really

He is doing good after 85 mins. Guess his agent told him be aggressive ,get a yellow and show how you can be placid and yet effective. Good England Start for me and not many mistakes.

Thought Delph was brilliant. Got a little too excited first 10mins then settled down really well. Danny Welbeck was brilliant.

I thought Delph had a solid first full game. He didn't seem out of depth yes first 10 mins were a bit wild but he settled down and grew into the game

Great Delph performance. Yellow card was from him trying to stamp his name on the game. Once he calmed down he looked very good, very good. Well done Delph and well done England, great show.

Has anyone seen Delph's stats from last night? Highest pass completion of any England player (97%) and touched the ball more than any other midfielder.

Also, on the yellow card, Delph has received a yellow card almost every 3 matches throughout his career. But hasn't been sent off.
