Yet to be confirmed but john Percy from the telegraph says he has left by mutual consent in the last half hour after having talks with the chairman this afternoon over transfer funds

Now being confirmed that he has left and done a MON.

He apparently wanted to spend big and the chairman didn't, only 1 winner in that situation and I don't think id let pulis loose with a cheque book either, I think he got lucky last season and he knew it.

You don't win manager of the year award by getting lucky - what he achieved at palace was incredible last season and his achievements at stoke something special too - albeit poor style of football but organisation, man management and results were very good.

I think that puts Palace in real danger. Pulis got more out of the that squad than he should of done.
Can we install Lambert as favourite for the job please?

Is it simply a case that chairmen are now being realistic with their money and are refusing to spend stupid amounts for run of the mill players? Whilst the top 4 or 5 will continue to spend, spend, spend, are we seeing the start of the bubble-burst that Doug Ellis said would happen many years ago?

If the money roundabout stops, players will still jump on because, let's face it, a ridiculously low football salary is still one that the average man can only dream of.

Seems parish wanted zaha back and pulis said no - chairman interfering in team affairs - wharpt ever next , one day an owner will tell a manager who he can't pick in the team ....... Oh ....

Respect to pulis - a man of principle and pride , he has the balls to stand up and refuse , unlike some who are not a million miles away .

Malky MacKay is odds on favourite. Then Sherwood and Lennon.

Moyes would be crazy to take the job.

He signed Martin Kelly and then resigned later the same day/next day. Neutral
